I am doing my internship at our lovely high school with the tech office. I chose my internship to be this because I really want to major in computer engineering when I go to college. At first, Mr. Innerarity (the tech office manager) tried to get me in contact with someone at Ochsner who is very skilled in programming. However, they unfortunately not respond. So, my backup plan was to do it with the tech office. Doing my internship with the tech office allows me to get a feel of what it's like working in and managing a small IT department. In fact, Mr. Innerarity has given me an assignment to make an app using lite code that manages assets. Having been exposed to coding before, I think I can manage to make something like this. However, I will admit that my first week has been a bit slow due to AP exams. This week, I had 3 AP exams from Tuesday through Thursday, and it has made it so that I didn't have as much time to work as I wanted to. Next week I'll definitely have more time to work with both computer hardware and programming!
