I choose to work in Dr.Lisa Wyatt’s office, cause I wanted the experience of working in a medical practice.My initial impression on the first day was that is a very busy place with a lot of activity.People who work there are on their feet a lot! I was put to work right away,bringing trays of tools and materials to each patient station,observing procedures and performing clean up of each station when the patient’s work was completed.I was happy to see how throughly the cleaning was perform.First all of the materials that can’t be reused are thrown away and the tolls are put in an autoclave to sterilize them.Then two desinfectante are used in the room.First the room is sprayed with an aerosol;then all surfaces are wiped down with a desinfectante cloth.We even change gloves between each phase of the cleaning.I feel like I’ve learned a lot the last few days,but my feet are tired!
I’am looking forward what the next days bring.
