Ruby Reeves Post #2

Midway through the week, I started feeling more confident about how things were ran in the vet. I learned the daily routines, started meeting some of the awesome co workers, and even got to hold a new born puppy. Two stray cats came in one after another with all kinds of problems, as most strays do. They were flea infested, scared to death, and wouldn’t let Taylor examine them. After a while, using her expertise, she calmed them down enough to perform a full exam. By the end of the week, I was in awe of how she was able to so easily calm and stabilize these animals. Throughout the week, I witnessed dogs and cats being X-rayed, a very overweight cat who was put on a strict diet, a dog with a cone who ran into and knocked over just about everything and anyone, and a sweet little puppy who cried all day unless he was brought out of his kennel and held tightly.
On Thursday, Taylor even gave me special dog treats and toys to bring home to my two dogs at home, which was super cool.
