Today, I'm recording all of the "inkinds"(money spent for meals, tours, transportation) New Orleans and Co. pays for each time an organization comes to inspect sights they might use for future events. While doing this, I figured out that there is literally an organization for everything; college football playoffs, American Crochet Association, even Record Store Day. With each group, I looked up when they came down for site visits, and what their itinerary was. I then recorded every time each group went out to eat or took a tour somewhere. I found it really cool that events like this were planned so far in advance, as much as 5 years. I also thought it was interesting to see the hospitalities New Orleans and Co. provides for each of their guests, and how they give them a genuine New Orleans experience by taking them to the best restaurants downtown. Overall, this week has been filled with all different types of work in different departments, and I’ve enjoyed working in each one.
