I decided on interning with interior designer Jacquelyn Lindsay because I admire her work and I have had the opportunity to work alongside her on multiple occasions. The first time I worked with her was freshman shadow day, I distinctly remember informing her on that day that I had plans of doing my senior internship with her. Now, three years later, I have done exactly that. My first impression of the internship was "This is a job that never ends." On the first day I was given a project to redesign a home space and I worked from 10am-6pm, never taking a break. After eating dinner with my family that night, I went to a coffee shop so I could continue working on my project so I could be prepared for day two. My boss was quite impressed with my work ethic as well as the design I pulled together for the home.
That certainly sounds like a job that never ends, Olivia. I'm glad you're jumping in with both feet.
