Charlie Kaliszeski #1
In this picture here I'm sorting through paperwork of patients I've either worked for, or will work for in the near future. I'm working at the Heart of Hospice on Belle Chase highway. I chose this place to work at because I wanted to do an internship that is meaningful and something that I can take away from all of this. Although I can't say much about who I'm working with because of confidentiality, I can say that I'm blessed to be taking care of these people and easing them through life. This Hospice organization prides itself on giving its patients the best care they can give before they pass on. There are many different parts and divisions in the Hospice workplace ranging from volunteers like me to chaplains, social workers, and even veterans. My job especially is diverse. Everyday is a different job for me. One thing I've noticed while working here is just how devoted everyone is to their job, and how far they're willing to help these people, even if it means travelling hours away to take care of them. I can't wait to see what else is in store for me and what this job will show me.

I'm so glad you're getting the chance to see how a hospice works, Charlie. It's good to hear that you are enjoying it, also.
