Bennett Kahn Post #3

Last week I was shadowing Steven Childress. As I mentioned, he is more so on the tech side of Lucid. This week I am shadowing David Fisher, who deals with client relations and success. Like all my days thus far at Lucid, the action does not halt just because it's morning! I recently sat through a meeting in which David was speaking with two representatives from the company Sentient Decision Science. This company is preparing a survey to target certain sects of beer drinkers throughout the United States. David's job is to walk the reps through Lucid's website and teach them how to set up and launch a survey that meets their needs. More so than the coding/programming meetings last week, this one was much more straight forward; accordingly, I was better able to understand the content of the meeting.

Shadowing David makes for an experience much different than the one I had last week. Already and more so in the coming days, I have/will better learn the purposes and functions of Lucid's three main products: Marketplace, Monetization, and Audience. By the end of this week, I look forward to being an expert not only in the functions of these systems but also in how to steer clients towards ease and usability!

The contrast of shadowing Steven the first week and David this week has provided me with great insights into the numerous and variable skills and the constant cross-department coordination and collaboration that are needed to operate a business as large as Lucid.
