On Thursday at the Quisby, I worked with the manager of operations, Jose. Jose does all the background operations that deal with marketing, customer service, and reviews of the hotel. He tasked me with doing research on other successful micro-hotels and hostel across the nation. I found the three best hostels for each major city across the nation. I took notes and created a page that described the rating, amenities, reviews, and price of every single hostel. They use this sort of data to compare to their own to see how guests review the places where they stay. Jose taught me how creating a Pareto Chart helps analyze the bad experiences or problems that guest have and to find the main sources. After that, they had me set up the lobby for an open mic night activity they were hosting. I'm having a great time and I'm excited to learn what other ways businesses use to provide the best experiences for their customers.
