Mollye Varon post #1

Today was my first day interning with Rachel Ramelli. Ramelli is a family driven company, and serves to the community in many ways. I started off walking through the main office and meeting some of the employees. We stopped in each office and they told me a little bit about what they did. Once I got to Robert Ramelli, the owner of the company, five of us started talking about last nights episode of Game of Thrones, but then he started telling me about the city's major issue right now. The city's recycling unit is closing down Friday, and the only other nearby recycling drop off is in Baton Rouge, so the government and companies are freaking out. I then sat down with Rachel and she taught me how to deposit incoming checks into the computer. I worked on that for awhile, along with keeping hard copies of each one so that she is organized incase anyone calls and says they have already paid when they haven't. As I was talking to Robert Ramelli, he told me that the most important thing to take out of today was bringing all the checks to the bank and lunch.

  1. Great first post, Mollye. You look so official. Most importantly, you got to discuss GOT and take in the money! I'm interested to know more about the recycling problem.
