Anabella Imbornone Post #1

I'm interning at Kehoe France School with Ms. Grush, my own first grade teacher. She still teaches first grade, so I will be spending the next two weeks with the same first grade class. There's about 18 of them and so far it's been really fun. I get to school at about 7:15 every morning and get out at 3:05. The day basically goes like this: The kids begin to roll in at 7:30 where I take their lunch order and check their hw folders. Then we have them all morning until snack time and then we have them back in the class for a while. They then go to their first "activity" (spanish, art, PE, etc), followed by lunch. After lunch and recess we have normal class time again and around 2:15 for their last period they go to their second "activity" of the day. School ends at 3:05. Yesterday specifically, Ms. Grush let me teach a lesson and work with the kids and their journaling on my own while she took a couple aside at a time to work on math problems. It's been really weird being back at Kehoe, especially now that I'm more a teacher (kinda) rather than one of the students in my uniform. I'm excited to learn more. Ok thats all I have to go administer a quiz now ;).
