I worked with Weidao Chinese restaurant for this 2 week to learn about running restaurant and how to make some of the Chinese dishes. This was a restaurant that I always go and eat dinner at so I knew the owner before I went. I learned a lot from them because they were kinda special. the restaurant is a family restaurant. all the stuff are family members of the owner. the cook is her husband and 3 waitress are her daughters. When they are busy sometimes she would invite some of her friends to come over and help. Their bond was really tight and they were nice to people(especially me as I could drink any drink and eat sushi from bar :) ). I learned how to make my favorite crazy dog roll the first day I went to work, along with other dishes. I also learned how to order for people and put the order into computers. it was really fun to talk to people as a waiter as I never experienced this before, if you respect them they would also respect you.
