Clara Rabe Post #2

This morning I woke up and got ready to shoot the LSU Nursing School graduation that I was assigned to yesterday. I got ready and got in my car, but before I could pull out the driveway, I got a call from the photographer I'm shadowing, Sophie Germer, letting me know there's been a change in plans. There was a shooting on Bourbon Street last night so we would be covering that instead. I ran inside and quickly changed clothes and headed over to the Clover Grill. There we waited, for a little over an hour, for something to take pictures of. This included people leaving flowers and observing pedestrians paying respects at the street corner. We mostly talked with some people from Channel 4 News while we waited, but we also tried to answer many local's questions about the case. After this, we went back to the office to edit photos from today and also review some of the pictures I took yesterday. Something that I find super impressive about these photojournalists is their ability to take pictures, edit them, and get them online so quickly. Sophie told me she usually edits in her car, on location, and showed me her editing process.
