As I am nearing towards the end of my time at Lucid, I thought about what I have been told that other people could value from knowing. One very important thing I learned, when Bennett and I had the opportunity to meet with Brian Winters, the Vice President of Partnerships at Lucid, was the importance of creating a LinkedIn account and adding friends (LinkedIn calls these connections). In case anyone does not know, LinkedIn is a form of social media designed specifically for career and business professionals to connect. The man Bennett and I met, who Lucid spends approximately $100,000 per year just to allow him to live in Indianapolis and work here, told us that he credits his last four jobs to LinkedIn. As a result, as soon as our meeting ended, Bennett and I briskly walked back to our computers and added him (as well as our mentors who wanted us to add them) on LinkedIn. In addition, we added our internship at Lucid as work experience. Bennett and I received other valuable information from him, however, Bennett asked that I do not include this information because he wants to write about it in his blog post. I would like to thank Lucid for an amazing internship experience over these two weeks!
