The past two days of my internship have been pretty interesting. Yesterday, I started off the day with learning a lot about networking. My supervisor, Mr. Innerarity, taught me much about how companies can user certain programs to map out networking components like routers, servers, and networking switches in order to keep track of data flow and maintenance. He even showed me how he keeps track of all of the components that make up our school's network. It was really interesting to see how these things work together to make up one big network. I even learned how to make an Ethernet cable.
In addition to learning about networking, I was able to get to work on my asset manager which would require me to do a little programming. I was able to accomplish this using google sheets. In this manager, technology like laptops, Ipads, and VR systems that belong to the school could be tracked. The manager gives information telling who borrowed certain items from the tech office, the cost of the item borrowed, and even whether or not the item is in need of repair. With the help of Mr. Innerarity, I was able to do a good job on completing this task.
