On monday I started my internship at the Ross Davis Retina Clinic and I shadowed Dr. Davis, retina specialist. I sat in on all of his appointments with patients, and through that I learned so much about the human eye and the way it functions. I watched him give many of his patients eye injections to help bring down swelling in their retina, as well as him lasering other patients to repair any holes or abnormal blood vessel growth in their retinas. Dr. Davis allowed me to even watch him reattach a patients retina!!! That was a very interesting experience. Here’s a picture of me looking at photos of the inside of a patients eye.
