Today I worked with Rachel, who’s in charge of marriage marketing. She basically advertises to couples in and out of state the appeal of getting married in New Orleans. I helped fill different envelopes with New Orleans wedding magazines and coupons, and then addressed the envelopes to each of her potential clients. I also got more into the habit of using Exel, which was hard at first because I never really used it before. Throughout the day, I suprised myself with how efficient I became in finding each mailing address without any mistakes or hold-ups. I also helped my boss, Lyn Halloran, with transferring her contacts from her Rolodex into Outlook. I haven’t finished this yet, mostly because there were a lot more business cards than I thought and it takes a while to input hem into outlook, but I plan to finish the project tomorrow. Overall, I found today to be very productive and I plan on continuing to work hard on whatever work comes to me.
